WCOG 2020 Photo Competition - Results & More!

Over the summer, the Worshipful Company of Gardeners ran a photo competition which invited members of the Livery to explore four themes (categories).
The judges are thankful for so many entries and were impressed by the standard. Congratulations to the following winners:
  1. Features Within your Garden category winner: Sir David Green C.B. Q.C.
  2. A Plant/Flower in your Garden category winner: Dr Elizabeth Rollinson FLS
  3. Pollinators in your Garden category winner: Major Jeremy Herrtage
  4. Something that Reminds you of Lockdown category winner: Wendy Bentall FLS
Please note - all winners are equal and the list is in no particular order. Each person will receive a £50 prize from WCOG and a copy of the International Garden Photographer of the Year book number 13 - courtesy of Court Assistant Tyrone McGlinchey FLS. Winning photos appear below and will also be published in the next issue of The Spade.

There is also a new opportunity for members of the Livery - in the form of another photo competition. This time the prize is - the winning photo appears on this year's Company Christmas card. The winner will also receive 50 copies printed with wording of their choice.

Brief:

  • Winter theme/appropriate for a WCOG Christmas card
  • Send no more than three images
  • Minimum size: A4 at 300ppi
  • Or if on smartphone - send largest size
  • Include full name in filename
  • Send to: the Clerk
  • Deadline: 15th November, 2020
