April 9th 2026
The School of Architecture & Cities, University of Westminster will host the 'launch of an updated edition of the seminal text on landscape architecture from prehistory until the present day.'
"Join us for a panel event to celebrate the launch of a new edition of Geoffrey and Susan Jellicoe’s classic text The Landscape of Man, a unique and truly monumental work which spans the entirety of human existence — every epoch and civilisation in every part of the world."
"Landscape critic and historian Tim Richardson, who has updated the book for publishers Thames & Hudson, will introduce the Jellicoes and their work, and the background to this remarkable book.
A panel discussion will follow, with Professor Kathryn Moore of Birmingham City University, who knew Geoffrey Jellicoe and has made a long-term study of his work, and Lynda Harris, landscape architect and niece of Geoffrey and Susan.
Books will be on sale and there will be refreshments."
