Gardens and flowers have often been the first choice for artists looking for a subject.
In this session, you will discover the places that inspired great art – the homes and gardens of solo painters and artists’ communities – and find out more about the lives and motivations of some of our greatest painters.
The workshop is organised by The University of Cambridge Botanic Garden and led by tutor Jackie Bennett, former editor of The English Garden magazine and author of several books including The Writer’s Garden, Shakespeare’s Gardens and most recently The Artist’s Garden.
