The WCoG is looking forward to an exciting and varied new season of garden visits, including a day out to Welford Park, to see more than 200 species ofGalanthus nivalis (snowdrop) at Welford Park, beside the River Lambourn, and a week-long trip toCornwall, where we will visit theEden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan as well as take part in a Sealife Safari off the north Cornish coast. Later this Spring, there will be visits to some of the significant gardens of Hertfordshire (including Chenies Manor and the Ashridge Estate) and our annual trip to the uniqueCourson at Chantilly Flower Show in France. The gardening season will continue with RHS Chelsea and during the summer, a visit to Slovenia is planned, with opportunities to visit some of that Jewel in the Crown of Europe's vineyards and botanical gardens, attend an Alpine festival and take part in a banquet in a medieval castle. The summer diary will conclude with a visit to see the latest developments in the restoration of the gardens at Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire and a classic garden party at the Gardens of the Rose, St Albans.
