November 25th 2022
This talk with the subtitle 'My Botanical Journey Through Britain and Ireland' is part of the Garden Museum, London's Plant Science series organised by their Plant Science Educator Samia Qureshi.
This first talk will feature speaker Leif Bersweden, writer and botanist - Leif has a PhD in genetics (from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) and has made it his mission to make plant science accessible and fun.
In 2021, he went on a botanical adventure around Britain and Ireland on his bicycle which he describes in his latest book 'Where the Wildflowers Grow’.
This talk, like the book, is all about 'the joy of engaging with nature, the importance of plants for our climate, and celebrating our unbelievable botanical diversity'.
