Event Description:
"Spend a memorable day in the Arboretum enjoying hands-on activities, live demonstrations and local artisan stalls, all set against a backdrop of spectacular seasonal colour. From traditional crafts and woodland walks to delicious local food, there's something for every age to enjoy.
What can we enjoy?
Working horse demonstrations with Flynn the Shire Horse from Wessex Working Horses
Make your own harvest knot with straw artist Penny Maltby
Interactive theatre performances from WhatNot Theatre
Botanical printing with gardener and artist Molly Palmrock
Write your own nature poetry with local poet Jane Thomas
Traditional crafts including weaving, spinning and natural dyeing
Tree-climbing demonstrations from the Arboretum's arborist team
Live music from Horns of Plenty
Nature-inspired crafts, sensory activities and messy play with the Education Team, suitable for all ages
Winding woodland trails with Wilderness Pioneers, showcasing autumn colour, fascinating fungi and rare trees
Sustainable market stalls featuring independent makers, artists and eco-conscious products
Seasonal food and drink from local producers, including hot treats and vegetarian options."
