The Glovers' Company invites Livery companies to a croquet tournament on 16th September at Sussex County Croquet Club, Kingston Lane, Southwick, BN43 6YW.
The tournament (9.45 for 10.15am start) will be based on six 13-point doubles games throughout the day with a time limit of 50 minutes per game and is open to all Liveries.
Each Livery may field one or two pairs for the Inter Livery Tournament. Other Liverymen and their partners are welcome (subject to availability) and can be entered for an informal Glovers and Guests event.
The winners will be determined based on the pair with the most wins. In the event of a tie the Manager will organise a 'sudden-death shoot-out', no doubt cheered on by an enormous crowd of spectators!
Previous experience is not necessary – If you arrange to arrive by 9.30am you can receive a free 20-minute coaching session by one of our Croquet Academy Coaches. Mallets will be supplied if required. Details: www.sussexcountycroquetclub.org.uk
