The Chartered Institute of Horticulture (CIH) is running a webinar on 'Social & Therapeutic Horticulture' hosted by Elly Newson and Georgia Robins, the Site Managers of The Willows and Lakeside Care Farms, part of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.
"They lead two unique sites that use therapeutic gardening, animals, and the natural environment to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism and social, emotional and mental health challenges.
With a shared passion for the benefits of therapeutic gardening, horticulture, and connecting with nature, Elly and Georgia work alongside their teams to create safe, nurturing environments where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, and improve their wellbeing through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Their talk will explore how gardening and working with nature can be powerful tools for supporting mental health, personal growth, and resilience."
