Biodiversity at Great Dixter: Online Film

November 17th 2020

On 29th September, Great Dixter’s head gardener, Fergus Garrett VMH, gave a talk on the biodiversity of the gardens. This online film reveals how extraordinarily rich the gardens and estate are in wildlife.

Within just a few acres, Great Dixter represents 40% of the UK’s different bee species, including many rare and scarce species.

Fergus gives background to the biodiversity audit uncovering the processes and exploring reasons for the high diversity.
