Join Chelsea Physic Garden’s Head of Plant Collections Nell Jones on a special behind-the-scenes summer tour held at the Garden.
Nell has spent over a decade either working or volunteering at the Garden, and has led the horticultural team since 2017.
“Her knowledge and passion for the world-renowned plant collections at the Garden is unrivalled, and her enthusiasm is contagious.”
Nell’s tour will feature favourites, including the historic boatyard – where the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries used to moor their barge after plant-finding expeditions along the river – as well as the potting shed and the tool shed.
Since 1673, the Chelsea Physic Garden has occupied four acres of land on the edge of The Thames. First established by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries in order to grow medicinal plants, this extraordinary garden in London has had wide reaching impact around the world.
