PathWays - Routes into Horticulture and the Natural Environment
PathWays is the evolution of the commitment of the Gardeners Company to foster professional horticulturalists at particular stages of their careers. The original Future Gardeners project initially operated through a five year Cooperation Agreement from 2016 to establish short pre- apprenticeships courses with the Gardeners Company providing funding and strategic leadership. The cooperation was very successful and the programme is now wholly organised and delivered by the third-party charity that was part of the original arrangements.
PathWays is the trading style now adopted by Future Gardeners, a Charity of the Gardeners Company. The strapline Routes into Horticulture and the Natural Environment reflects that progression and the Gardeners Company commitment to the development of early career horticulturalists. It is intended to work with partners throughout the country, utilising the horticultural expertise within the Livery company and others in the sector in order to act as a hub connecting people to further career qualifications, mentoring, guidance and work experience. The intention is for the charity to act as a trusted and respected resource for the next generation of horticultural professionals.
